Star-Spangled Spectacular was a 7-day free festival that celebrated the 200th birthday of our national anthem. Tall ships, Navy gray hulls and the Blue Angels came to Baltimore’s famed Inner Harbor to celebrate The Star-Spangled Banner.

Maryland's Chesapeake Campaign                

The story of Maryland's fight for the nation was celebrated through the Chesapeake Campaign, a traveling festival that featured re-enactors, hands-on education activities, performance, food and drink, and interactive fun all along the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail.                                 

Star-Spangled Banner 200 Grants

Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail

Take a trip back in time along the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail to hundreds of sites throughout Maryland that invite you to explore the story of the War of 1812.  From the ramparts of Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine to the site of the Battle of Bladensburg, the State of Maryland is dotted with the rich history of the war that forged our nation.
